Nkambeni Safari Spa is officially OPEN!
Nestled in the heart of “Big Five Country” on the western boundary of the Kruger National Park, close to the Numbi Gate, lies the Nkambeni Tented Safari Camp. The lodge is a four-hour drive away from Johannesburg and was conceived by the Nkambeni Community in an effort to create jobs for the local people. Nkambeni has 150 comfortable three-star units, with individual en-suite canvas suites and private decks. The principles of responsible and community-conscious tourism are reflected in suites designed and constructed to guarantee a minimum impact on the natural habitat.
Guests are treated to authentic South African bush dinners under the stars, around an open fire, or à la carte in the restaurant. There is a delicious breakfast buffet, an à la carte lunch menu and set menus for functions.
Nkambeni Safari Camp has one well-equipped conference venue available, which can accommodate up to 100 guests.

All tents can accommodate 2 people only, every tent is equipped with two twin beds, tea and coffee station, Mini fridge, Air conditioner that can turn to heater, Indoor showers and a deck outside with a sitting area.
Kindly NOTE that these tents do not have outdoor showers.
STANDARD TENTS
All units can accommodate 2 adults and 2 children under 12. Every unit is equipped with two twin beds and 2 bunker beds. Coffee and tea station. Indoor and outdoor showers. Deck with sitting area.
NKAMBENI SAFARI CAMP ACTIVITIES
GAME DRIVES
Half or full-day safaris in the Kruger National Park are available, in specially designed vehicles that allow closer interaction with wildlife. Picnic lunches from the restaurant can be packed on request. Self-drive options are also available to guests.

PLEASE NOTE:
Arrival after Kruger Gate closure times will incur a SANPARKS late entry permit fee of R500 per vehicle. Please consult the below schedule for the relevant gate closure time for your date of travel:
- Arrival after 8pm will incur an additional escort fee of R500 per vehicle on top of the late entry permit fee
- Gate times available on directions sheet and Sanparks website https://www.sanparks.org/parks/kruger/get_there/gates.php
- Check in time is from 14h00
- Check out time is 10h00 on the day of departure
- Late departures, subject to availability, shall be charged at lodge’s discretion
- We kindly request that these late departure rooms are vacated by 12:00
