MADIKWE ACCOMMODATION
The Madikwe Game Reserve is currently the fifth largest game reserve in South Africa, located in a malaria- free zone. The reserve offers the ‘Big 5’ and other wildlife in the 750 km2 park which includes newly incorporated privately owned land.
The Madikwe Game Reserve terrain consists of huge open plains of woodlands and grasslands and is bordered in the south by the Dwarsberg Mountains. The reserve has been enclosed in a 150 km perimeter electric fence to prevent the escape of larger animals.
There are no day visitors allowed and access to the reserve is only allowed once accommodation is booked within the reserve. The accommodation within the reserve comprises of a range of 4 and 5-star luxurious lodges, community lodges and camps, providing a range of experiences, that include, romantic getaways, exclusive eco experiences, family safari lodges, spa treatments and conferencing.

WHEN TO VISIT
The best time to visit Madikwe Game Reserve is between the months of March and November, temperatures are lower during these months, and the summers tend to be extremely hot. The rainy season is from April to October with the highest rainfall expected between November and February.
